ISTOBAL, to celebrate World Water Day, is requesting that water be used responsibly in wash services for industrial and passenger vehicles.
Depending on the wash machine and its optional features, a water recycling rate of up to 88.8% is attained by the new Physical Recycler Plus, in addition to reducing the level of contamination in the waste water, eliminating odors, and prevents the risk of legionella in the wash facility. By decreasing the level of turbidity and the amount of surfactants in the water, it also improves the quality and safety of the recycled water.
A waste collection truck of 6 meters in length, it takes 1277 liters of water to wash the exterior, 1162 liters for an 18-metre trailer, 871 liters for an 83-metre train, or 302 liters for a 14-metre bus. In addition, higher levels of contamination in the waste water is generated by commercial vehicles from the wash process. The Physical Recycler Plus allows more heavily contaminated waste water to be treated, thanks to the addition of chemical and microbiological products, and with its higher ventilation flow. It also eliminates unwanted substances - such as metals from overhead line equipment on trains that solidify with the coagulating agent, or organic matter deposited when cleaning waste collection trucks - by injecting microorganisms.
It allows car wash services to be provided in facilities that face water restrictions following prolonged periods of drought is another benefit of the recycling system.
